Why Eco-friendly Products?
Growing up in the American South I was always surrounded by classy-sophisticated black women. They wore stylish hats, colorful scarves and carried expensive bags. They called you “honey”, “sweetie” and “blessed your heart” when you did something crazy.
They also had beautiful vegetable gardens, made AMAZING grits and baked banana bread from overripe bananas. They were of the earth, their home remedies were of the earth and they were my strength. The vision of those women sticks with me today. Save your money, save your planet, and live from the earth.
I founded Dunia USA with several goals in mind:
- Carry a low carbon footprint and do no harm to the planet.
- Find unique quality items that my customers can keep for a lifetime.
- Find items that support other women and the environment.
- Educate the world on how to be more environmentally conscious.
- Take care and pride in locating and supplying items made with eco-friendly materials.
- Encourage all packaging to be recycled. Any unused clothing should be up-cycled, donated responsibly or repurposed.
Yes, I’m just one person, but I believe we can truly save Mother Earth One Handbag at a Time.
