It’s a mask, it’s a bandana, it’s MASKANA. MASKANA combines the protective features of a face mask and the multi-functionality of a bandana. Made with OEKO TEX certified UV 50 elastic fabric, Maskana offers comfort for every face size and shape. Wear it with its elastic ear loops and tie the elastic strap around the head for a perfect fit and to relieve ear pain for prolonged mask use. Another tip, pull down the mask pleats for extra coverage on the chin and neck. MASKANA also features a filter pocket with a removable waterproof fabric filter for extra protection from unwanted droplets.

MASKANA is also loved for its multi-functionality. As a neck gaiter/neck scarf, it keeps the neck warm while hanging out at the beach or when hiking or biking. You’ll also enjoy wearing it as a headband and as hair accessories.

Fashionable Triple Layer Batik face mask in a cup shape with elastic ear straps. This mask is handmade by our fellow artisans in Java who recently joined our community in response to the pandemic that affects our lives. Many of our artisans lost their previous jobs and by making this Batik mask they are able to sustain their livelihoods. Each mask is made with vintage traditional hand-stamped Batik fabric and lined with 100% cotton fabric.

The pandemic may have changed our lives drastically in many ways, although more than ever it also brings us closer together to share our hope and love.

To support our community, we are pleased to contribute these beautiful handmade tie-dye masks, made by artisans in Java who fundamentally need our help and support in this uncertain time.

This face mask consists of three layers
- 1st layer: Handmade Tie-dye rayon fabric
- 2nd layer: durable waterproof Taslan fabric
- 3rd layer: Extra filter pocket from cotton fabric

* This mask features a filter pocket for the filter of your choice (HEPA filter, polypropylene, coffee filter, etc)

This mask is designed carefully with a removable waterproof fabric filter to keep droplets from being inhaled. Adorned with high-quality handmade tie-dye fabric that is soft, breathable, and comfortable to wear.

One-of-a-kind scarf made of handloomed raw cotton strand. Each cotton strands are spun manually by hand and harvested from local farms in Tuban region in Java island. If you love the feel of natural vegan fabric, you'll definitely won't take your hand off this scarf. Witness its beautiful stripes texture and gorgeous imperfections on each cotton looms. Cute fringe knots along the edges are also one of the adorable details not to be missed.

  • What does limited quantity and small batch mean? - Since many of our items are handmade and ethically sourced, there are some instances when items will sell out or go on back order. Please be aware that there is a slight possibility of your order being delayed or cancelled. We will notify you immediately and refund if that is the case. 

 

  • Why are there slight abnormalities in my product? - Due to the handmade nature of some of our products, the natural color of the straws/leaves my vary from nude color to darker nude color. Some products are naturally harvested and dyed with manual processing.

 

  • What are sustainable materials? - The well known sustainable materials are: Recycled Cotton, Organic Hemp, Organic Linen, Jute (Straw), Alpaca, Wool, recycled materials (denim, etc.) There are some new materials hitting the market as well: Tencel, Penotext, Econyl, and Qmonos. Though I have yet to source any products using these materials.
